rain on us

A group of 10 of us went to Rainbow Waterfall in
the seclusion of forest and greenery

What a splendid adventure

Most of us sat on the open space of a four wheels
bouncy ride it was
so were we on board
As the leaves brushed against us
and muddy water splashed onto the sides
We even feasted our eyes on a rare kind of flower species
We screamed our hearts out
It seemed like we had much passion in us

We ridiculed those who cannot make it to the trip with us
We had the video as a proof (a visual sublimation):
"Too bad you are not with us." (say it with a wicked smile)

1 hour on the road
with our tour guide dropping us at certain locations
as a prelude to our adventure ahead of us
By the way,
he is a mouthy person
made verbal attack on each of us
However, he is a kind soul
Without him, there would not be much laughter

Finally we arrived at a shallow stream,
where we had to make our second half of the journey,
on foot.
We walked on boulders and rocky stream to make it uphill
then there was mud and shrubs, trees brushing against us

On the way, i screamed so loud that the whole forest shook
a leech was sucking on my left foot
I had tears in my eyes

Along the way,
we were so united in team spirit
guiding those who are behind us
giving encouragement to everyone
kept going and kept watch out for those at the back
Application of a kindred spirit

In an hour
we could see our destination of the day
from a certain distance
a 100 m cliff with splashes of water flowing down
" We are almost there.."
Bright light met our eyes

We had the whole waterfall to ourselves
It is a very private place, not small nor big, but enough for 12
10 of us with 2 tour guides
The drizzle of the water sprinkles
like rain on us

The rainbow was beginning to show itself

slowly spreading its arch
colours were getting more obvious
As the sun rose higher into the sky
then there were 2 arches of rainbow

Some climbed higher to take a better view

the spectrum looked different at different angle and height
We took photographs of course
That was the main purpose

To involve in the "Photography Session"
organised by Working Adult Care Group
under Green Month Project

We swam
and walked on the water bed
It was shallow
to the chest level at most
Just be careful stepping on slippery rocks

Then the time was ripe
rainbow was as vivid as it could be
spreading its arch beautifully

We climbed on the rocks beside the water drop
The rainbow formed a full circle around us
The colours were so beautiful

We have not seen a rainbow

so near to us
the colour so discerning
within our reach
before

Hours went by

Feasting on our cup noodles and hot cocoa
Having a wonderful fellowship

Now, the dreaded way back
However, it was much easier going back
We were like an experienced hiker by then
smooth walk

Many of us would want to go again next time

Are you wishing you were there with us?
Well, just be there the next trip.

rainBOW

We are going to rainbow waterfall.
tonight it rained heavily

God, please do not let it pours on wednesday and thursday
please....

i am afraid...
to be condemned as:
- unprayerful
- unfaithful servant
- unprepared

i need to practice Power of Prayer
and believe in prayer
God, will you stop this rain so that we may experience the covenant as you had with Noah
we want to cling on your promises
Please....

Genesis 9:

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:
9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you
10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth.
11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."
